What is the Datapod System?
The Datapod System is the Ultimate Data Center! The Datapod is an innovative modular, scalable data center that delivers an optimized IT environment that can be rapidly deployed in any location in as little as two months. The collection of purpose built pods allow the most flexible, agile IT solution on the market today. It is a cost-effective, highly efficient alternative to the traditional brick and mortar data center. The Datapod's highly ruggedized design allows operation in the most extreme of climates. No other modular system on the market can come close to the flexibility and agility of the Datapod System.
Do you need a DR site? No electrical power nearby? No problem. Are your field operations becoming more and more dependent on your IT department? The Datapod System maintains a significant advantage over every other modular data center is its flexibility.

The modular design of the Datapod System encompasses the following "building blocks":
Utility Pod
Housed in an ISO weatherized enclosure, the Utility Pod houses the infrastructure for the power and cooling system. The Utility Pod enables you to deploy the Datapod System anywhere in the world, in the harshest climates and without any electrical service available.
The Utility Pod can be deployed as the primary power and cooling infrastructure or as a redundant system. With up to 350kW (Scalable to 2MW) of available power and cooling capacity. The UtilityPod is capable of supporting the highest density data center configurations. The UtilityPod is transportable and places critical power and cooling at any location, anywhere and at your fingertips. The Utility Pod can be configured to include all or some of the following:
- Generator Set
- Electrical Switchgear
- Chilled Water Distribution
The built in flexibility of this design allows the UtilityPod to operate completely as a standalone system that can be used in DR sites, Field Exploration Sites or natural disaster areas.
Connection Node
This rapidly deployable, pre-configured utility connection simplifies the modification and moving ability of the Datapod System. The skid mounted Connection Node standardizes the electrical mains, generator power, cooling system and data connection points. The standardized connection points for electrical, mechanical and data transfer systems streamlines any modification and/or re-location of the entire Datapod System.
Connection Node (above) standardizes all electrical, mechanical and data connections enabling the entire data center to be relocated within hours (if needed). Mobile field operations, natural disaster sites, temporary increase in demand, temporary command center, multiple locations, etc. No other modular system on the market can come close to the flexibility and agility of the Datapod System.

Starter Pod
The StarterPod is the foundation in the Datapod suite. The StarterPod contains the power, cooling and data interconnection points. Your design dictates how the system will come together or how the architecture is implemented. The flexibility of the Datapod System enables your organization to design what works best for you. No design is limited by the enclosure itself. We take your needs and by implementing the industry best-practice develop the rightsolution for your organization.
POWER
The intelligence of the Datapod System is that each component is scalable and modular. Beginning with the Award-Winning APC Symmetra Line of Uninterruptible Power Supply Unit (UPS). These units start at 40kW and can scale up to 2MW.

COOLING
Free-Air, Air/Water Economizers, In-Row, Hot-Aisle Containment, Cold-Aisle Containment ? Cooling up to 33kW per rack possible. Its your choice with the Datapod System. With up to 40% savings in cooling costs, the Datapod System enables different density zones within the same modular system.
COOLING FLEXIBITY Free-Cooling to Containment
RACKS:
Up to 50U available. Network or Standard. The Datapod System can incorporate 20‘ or 40‘ Intermodal Compliant Container can be used. The insulated, anti-static design provides the optimal environment for your facility, regardless of outside environments. Nothing in the design of the Datapod restricts your needs. No other modular design on the market today has the flexibility of the Datapod System.
DESIGN FLEXIBILITY Right-Sized, Not Oversized
The StarterPod is the anchor to the system. Notice the removable doors (patent pending) on the right. This architecture allows your organization to grow in an as-needed fashion. Because every aspect of the Datapod System is scalable, you only use the power and cooling that you need and virtually eliminate electrical waste.
Expander Pod
The scalable design of the Datapod System allows your organization to build "as you go". Compare this to every other modular data center on the market today. Not a single competitor comes close. Once the Starter Pod has been set, you simply add more Expander Pods as the your facility grows. The modular building blocks with removable walls allows your organization to truly scale facility, as needed. No more over-sizing! The Datapod System aligns your budget with your IT requirements. The StarterPod and ExpanderPod come together to form a truly modular and scalable system. No other modular system on the market today offers this level of scalability.
EndPod
The flexibility of the Datapod Allows for multiple layouts and configurations. For those users that are constantly expanding , the End Pod is optional. The End Pod's primary purpose is to enclose the Hot-Aisle Containment System, if deployed. This pod provide the access and additional space expected in a typical data center. The End Pod features a solid, non-removable end wall and ensures the highest level of resistance to the elements. Currently, the Datapod System is being deployed in some of the harshest conditions on earth in the Australian Outback. Temperatures exceeding 100 degrees Fahrenheit.
Daily operations within the Datapod System are a breeze. The system provides ample room for technicians, unlike the competition.
Typical Site Installation using a 20’ Intermodal Container. The optional EntryPod provides a mantrap for that extra level of protection. Not HP, Sun, I/O can offer this level of security.
With up to 33kW per rack, High Density Applications are no problem. The flexibility, scalability allows your organization to add (+) or remove (-) assets, as needed. Seasonal operations? No problem with the Datapod System.
